Ubuntu 16.04 or later?
Make sure snap support is enabled in your Desktop store.
Install using the command line
sudo snap install np-resistorDon't have snapd? Get set up for snaps.
Find resistor colors with Ω value and find Ω value with resistor colors

if you have a blank screen at startup.
You need to disable "opengl: allows access to OpenGL stack" :
on gnome :
Settings - Applications - np-resistor
disable "opengl: allows access to OpenGL stack"
