Because this snap is released under strict confinement, it does not by default have access to the camera and microphone on the host device. In order to use Quadrix's video-conferencing function, users must therefore run the following commands in a terminal, once after installation:
snap connect quadrix:audio-record :audio-record
snap connect quadrix:camera :camera
The arm64 and armhf builds have been tested on a Raspberry Pi 4B running Ubuntu 22.04 and Raspberry Pi OS.
For versions of Ubuntu between 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) and 15.10 (Wily Werewolf), as well as Ubuntu flavours that don’t include snap by default, snap can be installed from the Ubuntu Software Centre by searching for snapd.
Alternatively, snapd can be installed from the command line:
sudo apt update
sudo apt install snapd
Either log out and back in again, or restart your system, to ensure snap’s paths are updated correctly.
