Install latest/stable of Launchpad tooling for Git
Ubuntu 16.04 or later?
Make sure snap support is enabled in your Desktop store.
Install using the command line
sudo snap install gitlptools --classicDon't have snapd? Get set up for snaps.

Currently ships:
git-lp-open for opening the current branch in your browser
git-lp-propose for creating a merge proposal for the current branch
git-lp-approve to top-approve a merge proposal for the current branch.
