Install latest/stable of mpv-wayland
Ubuntu 16.04 or later?
Make sure snap support is enabled in your Desktop store.
Install using the command line
sudo snap install mpv-waylandDon't have snapd? Get set up for snaps.
You can also check the capecrusader-121's mpv snap which may have more features like Xorg support.
Configuration files can be placed under
/home/$USER/snap/mpv-wayland/common/.config/mpv/
Allow access to /media, /run/media and /mnt:
snap connect mpv-wayland:removable-media
Alias for bundled yt-dlp:
snap alias mpv-wayland.yt-dlp yt-dlp
